10 things every woman needs to get rid of right now

I found this interesting list while reading old magazines.  It’s hard to let go on other things and I’m guilty of it.  hehe..

  1. Fear of flaunting – in bed, at the office, on the dance floor.  Be proud of what you’ve got!
  2. Any really sincere desire to sleep with a celebrity (ok fine.. but how about my Ben Barnes??!!)
  3. A job that drains your time, energy and joie de vivre in exchange for – what, exactly?
  4. Your “skinny” clothes that only fit after the stomach flu. (haha! no comment)
  5. Cigarettes
  6. Rage.  It may (very occasionally) be justified, but it’s rarely worth being known as “that crazy lady in 2B”
  7. Any guy who doesn’t keep his word (oh! done this long time ago)
  8. That friend who always makes you feel worse about yourself instead of better (agree… those insecure envious friends..)
  9. The agony you relive when you think of that really embarrassing thing you did… a year ago.
  10. Your sex tape! (what?! not guilty… I don’t even have this.. LOL!)

The Hunger Games First Official Trailer

I’m addicted to The Hunger Games Trilogy. That’s all.  haha!  The first official trailer has released and HG fans went gaga.. Twitter, Facebook and whatever social media.. Crazy high hits on Youtube.  What I like on the trailer, they highlighted the important details of the book.  Thanks to hungergamesmovie.org for sharing the screencaps.  Now, I can’t wait… mark it… March 23, 2012…

The Stunning Fannings

I watched Super 8 last night and this cute blonde girl really caught my eyes.  Then I saw her name, Elle Fanning, on the list of cast, first thing I thought.. “this maybe Dakota’s younger sister”.. and I was right!  So when I searched it, I saw the Fanning sisters’ latest pics from W Magazine December 2011 Issue.  They are so gorgeous and I love their makeup!!

Makeup by Lancôme (no wonder).  Here are their photos.  (source)

Psalm 23

This is my favorite prayer.  Simple yet powerful…

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside still waters;
He restores my soul.
He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil;
For you are with me;
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.

The Freedom of the Moon

by: Robert Frost

I’ve tried the new moon tilted in the air
Above a hazy tree-and-farmhouse cluster
As you might try a jewel in your hair.
I’ve tried it fine with little breadth of luster,
Alone, or in one ornament combining
With one first-water start almost shining.

I put it shining anywhere I please.
By walking slowly on some evening later,
I’ve pulled it from a crate of crooked trees,
And brought it over glossy water, greater,
And dropped it in, and seen the image wallow,
The color run, all sorts of wonder follow.

Norwegian Wood

After the Hunger Games trilogy, I shifted to an emotional love story about a male protagonist Toru Watanabe who narrated about his unforgettable time during his college days.   The story started when it triggered to him to remember his past when he heard the song “Norwegian Wood” by Beatles while he was arriving in Germany.

What I love in this book is that I can picture the settings of Tokyo and the countryside of Japan.  The movie was released last December 2010 but, of course, I want to read the book first before to check on the film.  I have already played some part of it and I was right, the cinematography is great!!

Haruki Murakami is a real genius.  Love to check his other works.

Love in my dreams

by: Monika Arnett

Closing my eyes against reality
I smile, knowing the contents of my heart
are safe and arranged in perfect order

Scent of a special flower among all the others
in an open, sun lit field, awakens my heart;
like a lovers silhouette dancing in the winds.

My eyes slowly open to a love in my dreams
as I reach toward the heavens with my hands
waiting for you to float into my arms.

A Man’s Requirements

by: Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Love me sweet, with all thou art,
Feeling, thinking, seeing;
Love me in the lightest part,
Love me in full being.

Love me with thine open youth
In its frank surrender;
With the vowing of thy mouth,
With its silence tender.

Love me with thine azure eyes,
Made for earnest grantings;
Taking colour from the skies,
Can Heaven’s truth be wanting?

Love me with their lids, that fall
Snow-like at first meeting;
Love me with thine heart, that all
Neighbours then see beating.

Love me with thine hand stretched out
Freely — open-minded:
Love me with thy loitering foot, —
Hearing one behind it.

Love me with thy voice, that turns
Sudden faint above me;
Love me with thy blush that burns
When I murmur ‘Love me!’

Love me with thy thinking soul,
Break it to love-sighing;
Love me with thy thoughts that roll
On through living — dying.

Love me in thy gorgeous airs,
When the world has crowned thee;
Love me, kneeling at thy prayers,
With the angels round thee.

Love me pure, as muses do,
Up the woodlands shady:
Love me gaily, fast and true,
As a winsome lady.

Through all hopes that keep us brave,
Farther off or nigher,
Love me for the house and grave,
And for something higher.

Thus, if thou wilt prove me, Dear,
Woman’s love no fable,
I will love thee — half a year —
As a man is able.
